Gracie Morton

Gracie is well known for her representation of the Bush Plum at different stages of its harvest.

The warm colours depict ripe plums fallen to the ground, whereas the lighter colours
represent unripe fruit or flowers. The darker dotted lines which move across the canvas depict
the harvesting of the fruit, and the sweeping movement of collecting the ripe plums to take
back to the camp.

Her work has been displayed in a number of private exhibitions including Araluen Centre of
the Arts, Alice Springs 1985, 1986, 1991, 1992, 1996, exhibitions in Germany, Italy, and The
Francais Alliance in Canberra 1999 2001, The 8th National Aboriginal Art Award Exhibition
1991 and 'Utopia-A Picture Story' Tandanya National Aboriginal Exhibition 1989.

Collections include: Beher-Sammulung, Reimers-Stiftung, Deidesheim, Robert Holmes a
Court - Perth, Slaughter and May International Law - London.
